As we welcome in 2012, I wanted to communicate a few updates, reminders, and general announcements for January.  Please make note of cancellations, upcoming meets, entry deadline, and all other information so there are no surprises!

New Practice Policy for Parents
As many of you have noticed, Kelsey and I have been the primary coaches for the majority of the season.  Christin, who helped for the first several weeks of the season, will not be returning to Athens.  She has been given the opportunity to start PT school near home in Wyoming.  We are fortunate to have had the help of several people up to this point, and we will have help in the future as well. 

With that said, we are now asking that all BSC parents (who are not swimming Masters) observe practice from the stands or the bleachers at the shallow end of the pool.  This change will help minimize distractions for the kids and us as coaches....no tempation to talk during sets :)  IF YOU NEED ANYTHING, please feel free to stop by the deck at the start or end of practice.  Kelsey and I are happy to answer questions or discuss concerns!

Practice Cancellations:
Tuesday, Jan. 17th - No Practice...pool closed at 2 p.m. for ICA meet vs. Marshall
Friday, Jan. 27th - No Practice...pool closed at 3 p.m. for ICA meet vs. WVU

KCST Toni & Bruce Bischoff Medals Trial - Jan. 20-22 in Kettering (Entries due Jan. 6th)
GCSTO Last Ditch Meet - Feb. 3-5 in Gahanna (Entries due Jan. 23rd)
Ohio Short Course Regional Championships - Dates TBA...Stay tuned for more information!
WV Championships - March 9-11 in Huntington (Entries due Feb. 20th)
